Hadrian's Wall Challenge · 3 June 2010

Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity believes no child should face hospital alone. Every day, 500 seriously ill children face a life-changing hospital visit. Children tell us it can be frightening. Parents say they're sick with worry. We want to change this. With your support, we can. Are you in?

Story

This June, nine of your Diageo favourites – Kevin Kenny, Alan Spence, Martin Gordon, Ruth Wells, Paul Kirkup, Margaret Malluck, Uttam Gupta, Jonathan Ansell and Tim Bergmeier – will be attempting to navigate the terrain that follows Hadrian’s Wall, over only three days.

The Hadrian's Wall Path is an unbroken 84 mile signposted trail stretching from coast to coast, from Bowness-on-Solway in the west to Wallsend in the east. It passes through some of the most beautiful parts of England - from rolling fields and rugged moorland to the ‘vibrant’ cities of Newcastle and Carlisle. To complete the challenge in three days, the team will walk an average of 28 miles each day and sleep in camping barns and bunkhouses by night.
