Despite my atrocious, super mario/mafioso/ultra creepy appearance which has been ridiculed and met with a mixture of fear and mild bemusement by friends and strangers  who I have come across (especially as no one on my year abroad in La Réunion has ever heard of Movember)!!!! The cause I'm supporting is a worthwhile one.

Putting political or religious beliefs aside, innocent children suffering has no place in a civilised world and something should be done to help those caught up in the conflict.  Even a small amount of money, will go a long way to help these children who are the undeserving victims of this crisis.

On the 26^th August, following almost two months of attacks on Gaza, Israeli and Palestinian negotiators agreed to an open ended ceasefire.

During the bombardment of Gaza, more than 1,400 civilians were killed, of which more than 500 children. More than 11,000 people were injured including 3,374 children. The UN estimates that up to 1,000 of these children will be left with a permanent disability. A further 1,500 children have been orphaned during the bombardment.

Throughout the attacks, MAP was there, providing urgently needed medical supplies to hospitals and aid to displaced families. MAP was the first UK aid agency to respond and delivered more aid to hospitals in July than any other organisation.

Now we need your support again to help the children and families recover from the bombs!

Malgré mon horrible et étrange apparence , super mario-mafioso, qui, d’après les gens dont j’ai fait la connaissance, est assez étrange,je demande avec de beaucoup de sympathie votre aide pour réussir le projet qui me tient à coeur. Ce projet consiste à réunir assez d’argent afin de venir en aide aux enfants de Gaza. J’espère vraiment récolter assez d’argent pour leur offrir un peu de sourires dans un monde où la vie ne peut parfois se tenir que sur un fil…
