In 2018 our sister Company Henry Boot Construction took up the Bangers & Cash challenge to raise money for Roundabout. Not to be outdone Hallam has decided to launch in to the 2021 challenge at full throttle, entering four cars! This was due to take place in 2020, but due to Covid 19 the rally has been delayed seven months.

Hallam's core business is securing planning consent for new homes and it is only fitting therefore that with our Head Office being in Sheffield we get involved with a locally based charity. The final starting lineup is yet to be determined but will comprise of a whole host of keen, wacky racers (although this is a rally, not a race!) from every one of our offices, a countrywide Hallam effort.

Together with around 25 other teams of adventurers, we will be taking part in the rally in cars bought for under £650 each. Local artists will create a unique design for each car bonnet and they will all be exhibited in March 2021 at a launch event. The teams will depart Sheffield on 29 April and travel through six countries, covering 894 miles before arriving at the finish line in Munich. The car bonnets will all be auctioned back in the UK with all proceeds going straight to Roundabout too.

Roundabout is Sheffield's youth homeless charity who provide shelter and support to young people in Sheffield who are homeless or at a risk of becoming homeless. Since the last epic rally, Roundabout have been able to increase the number of people they support on a daily basis by nearly 50%. Your donation will help provide a safe place for young people and help provide support and life skills to help them break the cycle of homelessness.
