The festive season is fast approaching and shops all across the country have started promoting their seasonal stock and offers.  We are hard at work too on our NEW Christmas Day appeal.

Normally, around this time of year, we too would be sending you details of the selection of Christmas cards you could buy from the Hospice, the profit from which in the past has helped keep up open.

However, this year we've taken the decision that we can't compete with the huge number of Christmas cards on offer from the supermarkets at bargain prices.  The cards now cost us as much to buy as we can reasonably sell them for.  So, with this in mind, we're going to do something different.

It costs £6,764 per day to run the Hospice.  Therefore, Christmas Day costs us just that, £6,764.  If  1,352 of the thousands of supporters we have, were able to donate the £5 we are asking (or more should you choose to), that would have the costs of the whole day covered.

We are launching a Christmas Day appeal for those who would like to give a donation in lieu of Christmas Cards this year.
