I have signed up to take on the biggest challenge of my life. I am running 26.2 miles (42.195 km) at the 2021 London Marathon with Penny Appeal! Penny Appeals Dig Deep campaign aims to provide safe, clean drinking water for children, families and the elderly living in Africa. 

People who know me, know that I go for a run occasionally, but it is never more than 10 to 15 km. This year I will prepare myself physically and mentally for the London Marathon. Crossing the finish lines after 42.195 km will be one of my greatest achievements, but I need your help to get me there. 

I teamed up with Penny Appeal for a great cause: to help fund the construction of an entire water well that will serve an African community day in, day out, providing them with fresh, clean water for many years to come. I am aiming to raise a total amount of £2000.00 to help build one water well (which costs £4000.00). We all know that water is essential for life, not just for humans, but also for livestock and agriculture so a regular source of income can be maintained, paving the way for the freedom of self-sufficiency we take for granted.
