Last year I had the opportunity to visit India just for a few days. In this time I saw an amazing country but also one where I saw poverty which I struggled with. It was hard to ignore but I at that time had no way of helping.

This year I heard of opportunity at my company to visit India again and assist in an eye hospital. I was picked to go represent my company and part of that is to raise as much money as I can before leaving.

The charity is Sightsavers and I’ll be going end of September. The donations will go towards paying for simple low cost procedures which really make a huge difference. A child cataract operation costs about £50. Anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated by myself and those who receive it. Regaining sight gives those the best possible chance to pull themselves from poverty.
