Story

Welcome to our project “Hand On Heart Oncology/Haematology Mulbarton Ward”  Here we specialise in Oncology & Haematology and are very excited to begin our fundraising!

On our ward there are a few very dark, dull and uninviting patient rooms with little or no natural light.

We want to change this!

To transform our rooms to make them light, homely, modern and comfortable for the duration of our patients stay.

There are elements we would like to include so that we can give our Oncology & Haematology patients and their loved ones!  the holistic care they so deserve.

We have always been passionate about doing what is right for our patients and therefore would love to keep you informed of the changes as they happen.

The team are very grateful for any help you can give to make this project a major success.

Love from all on the “Hand on Heart” team Mulbarton Ward.

Massive Thank you to all that have donated already xxxx

Wednesday 9th March 2022

Hello to you all I hope you are well.

Today I had the greatest pleasure to meet the wife Janice and sister-in-law Of one of our dear patients Richard Bull. Sadly Richard passed on the 17th of January this year. After seeing firsthand what a difference the donations are making to date Janice and the rest of the family decided to do a collection for our project hand on heart. Also Janice was grateful for an overnight bag containing toiletries so that she didn’t have to return home and allowing her to spend  precious time with Richard. Janice and her lovely family and friends have made and filled toiletry bags so that we can give these out to other relatives that were in the same position as Janice.

£1225.00 was raised and donated to our project including more donations paid direct onto our just giving page. We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity received by all of your donations thoughts and wishes.

Thank you all so much we wish you well for the future lots of love from myself Lynn and the rest of #teammulbartonward
