I was due to run the London Marathon in 2020 which obviously ended up getting cancelled because of Covid. I then tried to run in 2021 but had to pull out because I had an ankle injury! Third time lucky I have decided to do the virtual London Marathon - the same distance just nearer home!

I have wanted to run the London Marathon for years but never got myself sorted to do it...until now! I'm doing this to show my daughters & myself, that even a normal, chubby mum can run the marathon (with lots of training) but most importantly I can raise money for a really, really important charity.Turn2Us is a national charity providing practical help to people who are struggling financially. Anyone can be a missed pay-cheque, illness or bereavement away from a real financial crisis, which is where Turn2Us can help to find the support needed to get people back on track. The charity has been fighting UK poverty since 1897 & today it is as important as it was when it started all those years ago.

I've never done anything sponsored & this is all a bit scary! I am a little worried about the huge amount of training it will involve so I have started early to give myself a year (well just under that now!) but I promise to work hard & run my socks off to get the job done!
