Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon 2020 · 8 March 2020 ·
I have entered the Cambridge half marathon this year.
I am not a natural runner, but it is something that I enjoy.
Previously I have trained and run a few 10K races and this is the
furthest I have ever run.
I have watched friends and colleagues run half and full marathons,
never really wanting to do so myself, but this year something was different. I think I wanted to push myself to run more, shift some weight, be healthy and set an example for my three children.
Having started training, I know this will be a one off, something to
tick off the bucket list, so I thought it would be even more of a sense of
achievement if I raised some money for charity something else to tick off).

which one to support.

support to women and girls who have experienced rape, childhood sexual abuse or any other form of sexual violence
Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre provide specialist support to women and
girls who have experienced or are experiencing rape, childhood sexual abuse or any form of sexual violence. They do this with the aim of:
This will be the one and only time I ask. If you can show me your
support by donating any small or large amount of money to this worthwhile charity, it will help me tremendously when training in the cold, wet, windy weather to motivate me to keep going.
DID YOU KNOW? 1 in 5 women has experienced some form of sexual violence since the age of 16.
