Story
I am Hannah. My and my girls, Esther and Isla, we don't do mud. We don't do sweat. We sometimes do tears but not on purpose. The Insane Terrain dirt-infested obstacle course is way beyond our comfort zone.
But on 23rd September, we're taking on the challenge. I'm doing that in the hope that some people might realise that it matters. I'm putting myself through the unmentionable to draw attention to the cause of todays young people.
When I was growing up, the world was worried about my generation. We were, apparently becoming obsessed with image and sex and everyone was wondering how to fix us. Todays teenagers have to negotiate a whirl of unpoliced social media, and a mental health epidemic, and no-one seems to notice what we're putting them through.
Cambridge YFC are uniquely equipped to help. Mobilising churches to get active in their communities and provide a positive alternative for young people - this can actually change the course of someones whole life. And it's happening here, today.
If you know anyone between the ages of 11 and 18 you know some of the pressure's they're under. Please get behind this cause. Its something my husband and I have been pursuing for the last 11 years, and we need your help. Thank you.
