5 years ago, aged just 60, my dad woke in the night to find that he had suffered a major stroke, he was rushed to hospital where he stayed for 3 months. It is a night that none of us will ever forget, and unfortunately has left my dad with lasting partial paralysis down one side. It is something we all naively thought would never happen to us and has altered all of our lives in ways we could never imagine. 

Success after stoke is a small charity near where he lives which are dedicated to people like my dad who have had this horrible thing happen to them. They help victims to get the confidence and independence which has been taken away from them. They do some amazing work getting people together to talk, rehabilitate and help them enjoy the small things again. 

I understand asking people for donations can be rather annoying and this is the first time I have ever done an event but this is a small charity which use the money they get to help people like my dad on a daily basis. Anything which you can give is incredible and much appreciated.
