In Memory of fellow PhD student Hannah Fearon

Dear Members, fellow PhD students and friends of the APRS,
Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraiser, reading Hannah's story and supporting the National Exotic Hedgehog Rescue in her memory.
Hannah Fearon was a PhD student in literature at Aston University who sadly passed away this April after having lost her long fight with cancer.
She started her PhD journey with us in fall 2018 and has from the very beginning been involved in many different aspects of academic and student life here at Aston. Not only has she been incredibly dedicated to her fascinating PhD project titled "Lost Worlds: Nineteenth-Century Scientific Exploration and the Dawn of Dystopia'" which she'd been awarded a scholarship for by the School of Languages and Social Sciences, but she was also involved in developing new materials and modules for a new degree programme in literature at Aston University which she was planning to teach on from 2021.
Hannah loved literature, science fiction, dinosaurs, Disney, and helping others. She also loved all animals; in particular: native Australian wildlife, pandas, hedgehogs, and guinea pigs. Hannah has always supported the National Exotic Hedgehog Rescue and in her memory (and in memory of her lovely little hedgehog Chewie as well) we would like to raise money for this amazing charity and keep supporting them the way Hannah would have done.
Hannah has been a talented writer, incredible teacher and researcher, and a great friend to many of us. We are so glad to have had the chance to meet her and work alongside her during her time at Aston.
Our thoughts are with her family, her boyfriend, and all her loved ones.
Thank you all for joining us in raising money for the NEHR in Hannah's memory!
