London - Lee Valley Half Marathon 2015 10:00 · 4 October 2015 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

In 2007 we teamed up to run our first ever 5k at Race For Life in Telford. Now, 8 years later, we are taking on 21k (13.1) miles for the same cause! We both lost our wonderful grandmothers to Pancreatic cancer, an especially aggressive cancer which is really difficult to detect. Cancer Research UK's pioneering work will help fight this disease so that one day,  no more lives are lost!

We've certainly come a long way since our first 5k but this is definitely a challenge for both of us! Pictures of the spectacular shade of pink we turn by mile 13 will be circulated to all supporters for their enjoyment!
