Story
Completely out of the blue, I have unexpectedly agreed to do a 40km trek with the 2nd year students of one of my junior high schools. This is a traditional coming of age walk for the students along what is known as the Melody Line along the Ikata peninsula on my island in Japan, but since I've already come of age I thought I could use this as an opportunity to raise some money for cancer research.
I have never trained or even attempted to walk anything close to 40km before and this is happening in just 1 week! Your donations will get me through this if I know I'm doing it for a worthwhile cause! To put it into perspective, this is usually about 8 or 9 hours of non-stop walking.
Even if you can spare only a little, that's still great since I know this is very short notice.
Thanks again for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
People in my prefecture in Japan: I am going to try and find a local charity that you can give to, since I know most of you aren't in a position to even use your bank cards online.
