Story

We are taken part in a walking/running/cycling/scootering challenge of 245 miles to symbolise the journey Hannah-Michelle Browne took during the last 5 weeks of her life by the 31st of December 2021. This is a challenge that all members of the family can take part in to help raise money for such an amazing hospital who cared for Hannah-Michelle and her family within her final weeks.

At just 21 years old Hannah-Michelle suffered a massive cardiac arrest and plunged into a coma during labour, leaving her unaware she had given birth. Three weeks later doctors were able to regain her consciousness so she could meet her son Gerwyn for the first time. But after spending just one hour with her baby, she slipped back into unconsciousness and died two weeks later.

Hannah-Michelle's family and friends have been fundraising in her memory for 8 years and this would be their 9th year. Due to Covid19 they will not be able to fundraise as they have done so over the years and would love to continue their efforts of donating but in a safe way. This challenge is one that we will be carrying out within our own bubbles and following guidelines. Pictures of us completing the challenge will be uploaded to the Hannah's Journey facebook page : @HannahMichelleBrowneJourneyChallenge.
