I am Braving the Shave in memory of friends and family who have faced and battled cancer.  Cancer touches almost everybody's life in some way, and this is my way of showing support to those people facing Cancer and to their families facing it with them.

The word 'Cancer' is still an evocative one; one that terrifies. I understand that feeling of fear, and the fear that uncertainty can bring and so I wanted to do something to show solidarity with those facing Cancer.  The loss of your hair due to cancer treatment can be upsetting and difficult to come to terms with.  People are left feeling vulnerable and less confident.  This is why I wanted to 'Brave the Shave' and proudly stand alongside men and women with Cancer.
