Team Nads is raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust
Story
Amie Hutchings, Wes Southard, Jade Turnbull, Teresa Jones, Clare Hobbs, Jill Taylor, Callum Hutchins, Rob Fleming, Alice Dart, Charlotte Dart, Ashton Hobbs, Rob Potter, Martin Park and Rachel Hobbs are family and friends of Nadia Hobbs our ages vary from 17 to 49 and we plan to do the ROCKSOLID RACE in Exeter 19th March 2016 to raise money for her support charity.
Last September Nadia was suffering with severe pain in her Jaw After many visits to the Dr's and dentist the pain became unbearable and we took her to the hospitals A and E department. After a little bit of pushing she got herself an appointment with a specialist the next day. She had tests and scans but unfortunately had to wait quite a while for the results. She was then told she had a rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma. This was present in her jaw area to the base of her scull. In the weeks up to her diagnosis Nadia was told from her GPs she could have Mumps, glandular fever, a bone infection, wisdom teeth coming through, blocked gland, cyst etc .....
So for Nadia and all the other teenagers and young adults, we are doing this for you. We hope to help people and doctors more aware of teenage cancers therefore hopefully aiding early diagnosis and raise as much money as we can for Teenage Cancer Trust as no one young person deserves to be alone with cancer...
