Fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK
Story
- A group of friends are doing various fund raising events around the country to raise money to help eradicate Pancreatic Cancer, which tragically cut short the life of Harry Mootoosamy, a friend, a father and all round good guy in October 2014.
- One way some of us are doing our bit is to invite ridicule and embarrassment on ourselves by trying to grow moustaches during the month of November.
- Your donation will directly fund innovative research to help make a breakthrough on prevention and treatment of Pancreatic Cancer.
- Because it doesn't usually give rise to any signs or symptoms in the early stages - it’s often diagnosed late, reducing the chances of being able to kick it. The survival rate is only 4% and it receives less than 1% of cancer research spend.
- Pancreatic Cancer UK is the only national charity fighting cancer on all fronts - support, information, campaigning and research. Their goal is to double the survival rates within 5 years.
