Great North Run 2017 · 10 September 2017 ·
I am running the Great North Run 2017 to raise money for the Northern Oesophago Gastric Cancer Fund.
I am running in memory of my mum. My amazing mum, Rita, passed away when I was fifteen years old. Find out more about our story here:

I want to help beat cancer.
Oesophageal and Gastric Cancer are the fifth commonest cause of cancer deaths in the UK.
One of the problems with these cancers is that people are often diagnosed late and are not able to be offered a chance of a cure.
The Northern Oesophago Gastric Unit was developed to treat patients with these cancers and has developed an internationally recognised expertise.
Please help me raise awareness about these cancers and raise money to help the Northern Oesophago Gastric Cancer Fund with their great work.
As part of my training in the run up to this event I will be running the North Tyneside 10K in April 2017, the Race for Life 10K in Sunderland in June, the Great North 10K in July, and the Branches and Bays 10K in August.
I am not a 'natural' runner and have never run this far before so it will be a learning experience for me!
