The Yard aims to offer disabled children and young people and their families the chance to experience creative and adventurous indoor and outdoor play in a well supported environment.

Story

I am raising money for The Yard Charity in Edinburgh, which supports 1500 children and young adults with additional support needs. They also provide a community and respite support for parents. I volunteered there during my last year at University where I combined my photography with helping children with their confidence, communication and social interaction skills and have always maintained my connection.

Here is a short video clip about The Yard. In my view there should be more charities like this throughout the UK. What a difference can be made to those they work with.

What is my challenge?

I am running (as one of a team of 10) a 10k obstacle race called Mens Survival of the Fittest (women can do it too!) The video clip below is of the 2012 race. We will not know the obstacles until the day. If you are in Edinburgh and would like to support, the event is on 20 October and we start the race on the Royal Mile.
