Story
So i have just been offered a place into the London Marathon 2016 and i am honestly scared to death!
Macmillan is a charity that is very close to my heart. My dad as many of you know unfortunately suffered from cancer a couple of years ago, it really was a huge shock to the family and without Macmillan being there and supporting us all through, i don't think we would have coped. My big sister is sadly also fighting this horrible disease and the Macmillan nurses are being so supportive to not only Charley but to myself and my family too. I know this charity has helped so many people so close to me, my family and my friends and i want to raise as much money as possible to support Macmillan in helping others going through the same pain and upset that we currently are.
I am currently sat here writing this in the waiting room at my physio who would honestly say that running this marathon is a bad idea - i am hypermobile which is not as fun as it sounds and causes all sorts of problems with my joints and muscles. However, i have watched the marathon in both Brighton and London now for the last 4 years and every time i question why I can't do it; watching the runners with one arm, one leg, blind... so bring it on London Marathon 2016!
Any contributions to the charity will be so so appreciated and will spur me on through the treacherous 26.2 miles, thank you family and friends, hope to see you at the finish line!
Lots of love,
H xxx
