Ummah Welfare Trust was founded to challenge the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

Palestine and its people are today dependent on outside aid.

Occupation of the land, the barrier constructed along and within the West Bank as well as land, air and sea blockades on Gaza, has strangled Palestine and its people.

Around 4 in 5 Gazans rely on donations for survival. Originally refugees, they are imprisoned behind concrete walls and humiliating military checkpoints.

Despite the empty rhetoric, the suffering of the Palestinian people continues.

Ummah Welfare Trust has been working in Gaza for many years. In 2010 a field office was established in Gaza through which many projects today are being administered.

All money raised will be going to Ummah Welfare Trust's various Gaza appeals, and they have a 100% donation policy, meaning every penny you donate will go to the intended recipient. The charity does not take any money from your donations, only what is needed from Gift Aid and from their second hand clothing recycling and donations.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
