Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
For the last ten years our family has been using the International Waendal Walk to raise money for charities close to our hearts. This year we've decided again to raise money for Brain Research UK, a charity that funds research into neurological disorders.
This year my daughter, Isabelle (12), and I will be walking 25km each on both Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May (50km each in total for the weekend). My son, Lewis (9), and his granddad will be walking 15km each on both the Saturday and the Sunday (30km each in total), for a grand total of 160km for the weekend.
Both of these distances are a significant jump from last year, and we're all very much looking forward to testing ourselves. As someone who will often walk fewer than 1000 steps on a typical day, it's going to be tough. Let's just hope the Spring weather in the UK holds out!
Any and all donations, however small, are very much appreciated. If you're a UK tax payer then you can also tick the Gift Aid box and make your money go even further.
We'll try and post updates over the course of the two days so you can all watch our suffering in real-time!
