Story
It was with a heavy heart that we, as a family shared the news of Dad's passing following a hard fought battle with Alzheimer's disease, lasting over 12 years.
Dad was a remarkable man, larger than life in many ways, who achieved so much both personally and professionally. This dedicated page has been set up in Dad's memory, as a way to remember him and also provide the opportunity for his many friends and family both near and far, who are unable to attend his funeral due to C-19 pandemic restrictions to share their messages and donate in his memory to the family's chosen charity Barnsley Independent Alzheimer's and Dementia support (BIADS)
Dad sadly lost his battle with Alzheimer's on 13th February 2021, however for many years prior to his passing, BIADS had been a source of tremendous support to both mum and dad - be that via their Carers Support drop-ins, assisted holidays and day trips out, or regular activities including 'singing for the brain' As a family we will be forever grateful for the innovative ways BIADS found to support mum and dad and truly enrich their lives in their times of need, and hope that money raised on this page will ensure others continue to benefit from the support of this wonderful organisation in the way we have.
On behalf of our Foster family, and BIADS we thank you for all your support.
