On International Women's Day this year (Sunday 8 March) I will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon in aid of Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre.  

Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre is committed to supporting women and girls affected by sexual violence across Cambridgeshire.

The charity provides listening and support services for survivors, including confidential telephone and email helplines, one-to-one counselling and peer support groups.  They also provide Independent Sexual Violence Advocates, who offer practical advice and help on the legal processes when dealing with the police, health, housing and other services.  As I and many people I work with know, due to a decade of cuts the criminal justice system can be fraught with delays and complications; having someone to walk with survivors through this process is particularly vital.

I would be so grateful for any donations no matter the size.  What better way to take stand for equality on International Women's Day!
