Trekking for tigers · 28 September 2015

Fauna & Flora International (FFI) was the world's first international conservation organisation, established in 1903. Our vision is of a sustainable future for the planet, where biodiversity is effectively conserved by the people who live closest to it, supported by the global community.

Story

In September 2015 I am trekking through the Kerinci-Seblat national park in Sumatra with colleagues from a variety of zoos and the TPCU, our aim is to raise vital funds and awareness to support the vital work that the TPCU and flora & fauna international do on the ground-we will be disabling poachers snares along the way.

This is no holiday, walking through dense forest, steep hills and rivers we are sleeping in the forest; with the risk of leeches, creepy crawlies and wild animals all around, in very tough terrain. No porters, no camp sites, carry what we need and join the real fight against poachers!
