Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I've worked with Football Beyond Borders which is a charity who work with secondary school kids in and around London. I helped work with a group of 14 & 15 year olds at a school in Balham. To see those kids who, most of whom are underachieving academically, come out of their shell in the classroom tasks and even more so on the training pitch afterwards was one of the most rewarding days I've had a very long time.

They're being taught life skills through football-related tasks and exercises and don't even know they're learning.

I've mobilised a team to take up the challenge to raise money to enable more kids to gain access to FFB's programme.

The challenge is to cycle to 11 football stadiums across London in one day, covering around 60 miles of London’s roads, in teams of up to 5 cyclists. At each stadium, we'll will need to tweet a photograph of the team taken outside the stadium at a specific location as proof.

Anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated.

About the charity

We exist to change the lives of young people. There are thousands of young people who are passionate about football but are not fulfilling their potential at school. We provide long-term, intensive support, built around relationships and young people’s passions, in the classroom and beyond.
