My grandad is currently going through the process of being diagnosed with dementia and I have been surprised how underdeveloped diagnosis and treatment of the disease is. It is not only difficult for the person who has dementia but also their family, and as people are living longer so many people are affected by it.

So, I am going to take on the challenge of running the White Peak marathon on 18th May to raise money for the important work of the Alzhiemer's Society.
