For the last six years the Parish of Heswall (The Church of the Good Shepherd & St Peter's Church) has been working on plans to build The Lighthouse Church - a new church and hall on Telegraph Road in the heart of Heswall. The attractive, accessible, multi-functional and energy-efficient building has been designed to serve as a place of worship, hospitality and service to the community.  At a time when high streets are struggling this project is a significant investment in the future of Heswall and its recovery as we emerge from the pandemic.

We now stand on the verge of seeing the plans turn into reality.  We've already raised £1.7million and if we can raise at least another £350,000 we'll be in a position to sign contracts and see work starting in just a few months time. A very exciting prospect!

To contribute to this amount I'm seeking sponsorship for my walking challenge. Over 40 days I'm aiming to complete 20 circular-route walks across the Wirral Peninsula using a network of footpaths, rights of way, fields, woods, seashore and marsh - a total of 140 miles.
