Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. During the year running up to the Olympics myself and four other colleagues from Sony will be taking part in up to five different sports. We are raising money for a local charity, The Shooting Star Chase Children's Hospice. They provide support for families with children who are unlikely to reach their 19th birthday.

As a parent the thought of having a sick child who is unlikely to see their 19th birthday is unthinkable. This charity provides support to over 500 children, teenagers and their families via two amazing hospices, one in Hampton and the other in Guildford, along with many other services such as short notice care for families in crisis, bereavement support, and family therapy.

I hope you agree this is a very worthy cause, if you would like any further information please visit the below weblink:

The sports and challenges I'm taking on are:

- Learning and completing a 10 bounce routine on a trampoline.

- 50 basketball lay ups in 5 mintue, (please note, I wasn't ever in the netball team because I was so bad, and if you ask my husband I throw like a girl!)

- Complete a 4k kayak on the River Wey in late October in a Canadian Canoe (this is likely to take us 3-4 hours, but don't worry we have built a pub stop in to the plan :-)

- 5k time trial at Bushy Park (have you see the level of fitness of us all the photo!)
