Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am going to be spending my precious annual leave this year running 26.2 miles (42kms for you Aussies!) running through all 5 boroughs in New York on 4th November 2012. I'm doing this to raise money for Kings Hospital in London who recently did an amazing job of looking after one of my best friends Sara, when she was very ill and required an organ transplant at the young age of 32. She has now recovered well though she may well need another transplant in the future, therefore i'm hoping to raise some funds for people like her and the amazing work Kings does to enable young people to still have a future ahead of them.

For those of you that know me, i'm not a natural sportswoman other than running to the pub for last orders, so this will be a signficant challenge (also hence why I can't find any pictures of me running!). I won't pretend i'm going to get an ace time but am hoping I can just make it around the course. Knowing that i am raising money for such a good cause would certainly help, and therefore I thank you for any donation.

If anyone is in NYC on Sunday the 4th, both Scott and I would be appreciative of the support.

One thing I have been asked is how this money will be used. It is all going to Kings, this is not a charity fundaiser where the charity covers our flights/entry etc, we are both covering all our costs for doing this so please be assured all funds will be going to the hospital.

Many thanks in advance
