Isle of Wight 106km Run/Walk Series · 30 April 2016 to 1 May 2016 ·

The Herts Air Ambulance (part of the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust) is a free, life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for critically ill or injured people in Essex, Herts & surrounding areas. It costs in the region of £500k a month to cover all charitable costs and aircraft operations.

Story

On 30th April, I will be running, walking (and possibly limping) my way round the Isle of Wight. My dad Peter and brother Daniel are also doing the challenge and we are hoping to complete the 106-km distance in under 20 hours.

I am raising money for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust, which provides a free, life-saving helicopter emergency service for the critically ill in Herts, Essex and surrounding areas. The two helicopters are deployed on average 2-3 times every day.
