After hurting my knee last year, I did say 'enough is enough' but somehow seem to be doing the Great North Run again this year...

I'm running again in memory of my good friend, Geoffrey, who I still miss.  I'm raising money for the Percy Hedley Foundation which runs the school he attended, and which helped give him the education and independence so many disabled people of his generation were denied.  

The foundation continues to help disabled children and adults realise their full potential today. The highlight of last year's GNR was a dad, running for a muscular dystrophy charity, slowing down to tell me what an important part Percy Hedley's wheelchair football team played in his son's life.
