In March 2018, 3 months after the birth of our lovely second son Austin, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroendocrine Cancer. It came as a bolt from the blue and we had a tough old year coming to terms with our new reality.
But my wonderful friends and family brought so much love, laughter and strength - not to mention plenty of wine - so now is the time to feel positive and set goals!
This particularly fabulous group have amazingly offered to run the Liverpool Rock n Roll Half Marathon with me in May. We cover the whole spectrum of running ability and this will be life-changing for many of us! We are raising money for the NET Patient Foundation, the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting those affected by Neuroendocrine Cancer and funding research to hopefully one day find a cure.
So please consider donating and showing support for these brilliant friends of mine, who will no doubt get me over the finish line and have already helped me more than I can ever thank them for. Heather xx
