Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·
Thanks for looking at my Just giving page!
I started running in 2010 and one of the very first targets I set myself was that I wanted to run a marathon! Very ambitions before I had even laced up my shoes and tackled the first mile but now two years on with lots of hard work and training I had gotten myself half marathon ready and decided that 2013 was the year I was going to do it and complete the London marathon.
I set myself a goal at the beginning of the year, I wanted to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic chairty so have decided to do;
13 races for 2013 ending with the ultimate challange- The London Marathon!
This is going to be no small task and will require me to not only double the current miles that im running at half marathon level (25 per week) but also training over the gruelling winter months however knowing that I am doing this for such a worthy cause that makes it all that bit easier and thats where my choosen chairty comes in...
BRACE is a registered charity that funds research into Alzhimer's disease and other forms of dementia, I have raised money for this chairty before and felt it would be nice to raise again for them, this chairty is very close to my hearst as both my nan had dementia and my husbands grandad is currently fighting with Alzhimers disease, every bit of money raised big or small could make a massive difference to the research to help ultimately beat dementia.
Please please dig deep guys and help me to help BRACE make a real difference.
