6 weeks ago, Andrew and I thought it was about time to get back on our bikes!  We signed up to the Blenheim Palace sportive as it's always easier to have a goal to work to.  Making sure that we ticked the 60 mile route rather than the 100 mile option, we set about our training. It's been great and I have really loved being out on my bike recently.  Andrew has gained not only a numb bum, but also some work / life balance! We hope to continue after this ride which has so far achieved one of our objectives: to get back into cycling. The other objective is fundraising - we'd love to help out a good cause while exploring the Cotswolds.  By the way, a "Sportive" is not a race - it's a challenge.  Having seen the weather forecast for Sunday, I think that'll certainly be one way to describe our experience!
