This is a big challenge, so, I decided to it would be an incentive to me and great to raise awareness of this charity which has a real feel good factor Angela (who started this charity) and Liz who both had ovarian cancer were sisters of one of the nicest people I know- a great friend from school. I think this is a great charity that’s is so needed- memories and good times are so important. I wanted to raise money and also awareness of this charity in their memory
Bit of a Break is growing a portfolio of gifted, unfilled time in self-catering cottages, to offer families dealing with terminal illness a chance to spend time with their loved ones.In 2011 Angela Sturgeon was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She tirelessly raising over £42,000 for cancer-related charities. She loved spending precious time away with family & friends where she could feel normal again and build lasting memories. She wanted to help others in a similar situation so she set up the A Bit of a Break charity.
