In the last 12 months I have been in the privileged position of having three homes. From where I live now I can see the foot hills of the Derbyshire Dales and the Power Station at Willington. This made me have a mad idea. Let’s walk between the three homes in a day. One of my many mad ideas, those that know me know this is true. That’s going to be 40 miles on varied terrain, unsupported. The furthest I have ever done in one day is 33 miles and that was when I was younger and a lot fitter, all on the flat.

I have chosen to do this in memory of my late mother. She was passionate about humanitarian aid and about animals. What better charity to support then, than Street Paws. They offer support to homeless people and their pets.

In the last year, you might realise I have been a bit busy, moving home twice and sorting out my mother’s house. My fitness has suffered and so I am aiming to do this next year on the 1st of June. The closest weekend date I can get to mum’s anniversary.
