In October 2019 I'm off to Tanzania on a Wheels
for the World project, which is part of Through the Roof. This organisation aims to give people increased independence by giving them access to mobility- children are often unable to attend school if they can't walk there and adults are unable to work.

Wheels for the World takes old NHS wheelchairs and
refurbishes them in prisons in the UK. The chairs (and crutches,
walkers etc.) are then shipped out by container and met by a team of
volunteers (physios, OT's, engineers) to fit them for individuals.
