Story
On 30th April we are setting off from Richmond to run 100 miles along the Thames Path, finishing in Oxford sometime in the morning of May 1st hopefully! This is a significant challenge and we've been training hard, running many miles a week and working out how to eat and drink on the run. After some encouragement from our supporters we have decided to use the opportunity to raise awareness and donations for causes close to us. We're looking for donations in one (or more!) of the below forms....
We'd love for you to donate:
Pounds - £ donations to Freewheelers
Pints - Give blood to the NHS and give a free gift of life
Parts - by signing up on the organ donor register, pick your level of donation and when your time comes you can give the ultimate gift
Matt has joined the Free Wheelers, a volunteer Emergency Motorbike Service delivering blood, organs, milk and paperwork for the NHS and has almost completed his training to be a rider for the South West - The Royal United Hospital where Helen works will be on his patch.
Both of us have signed up to the organ donation list and Matt will be donating his first pint of blood with Helen very soon after we've recovered from the run!
We'll keep a running total of Pints & Parts committed alongside the Pounds donated here - so you can all see how awesome you are!
So thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
