During 2020, Maddie's Butterflies launched 'Smile in a Bag'. This is a major project for the charity and their aim is that the bags will help even more children who need a pick-me-up during their cancer treatment. 

Their aim is that they can supply goody bags to as many children as possible in hospitals, referred to them by Clic Sargent. 

The goody bags are especially welcome during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Children undergoing cancer treatment are at a higher risk if they contract this illness. Consequently, they and their families are subject to even more restrictions, such as continued self-isolation and no physical contact with wider family and friends. This is during what is already a very difficult time for them. 

Through "The Love of Bookworms" and Usborne, my aim is to raise £200+ from the community and local businesses for Maddi's to spend on books and activities for the bags and also for their Luxury Holiday Home based at Ribby Hall. If we manage to raise £200+, Usborne will also donate some books for FREE !
