Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Helen Laura Bebb and I am 39 years old. I was first diagnosed with chronic kidney disease fifteen years ago when i was heavily pregnant with triplets. Thankfully although a very fraught time i did go on to give birth to three wonderful, beautiful, healthy babies who are now lively typical teenagers.
Four years ago i had a live kidney transplant curtesy of my selfless dad Barry Firmin. Unfortunately it was not meant to be and the likelyhood of another transplant in the forseable future is extremely slim due to the aggresive disease that i have.
At the present time I am on home haemodialysis as hubby and I found the thrice weekly visits to the hospital to hard on all the family.
Although this is a much better alternative it is not without its problems and therefore kidney research is vital for all kidney patients, so we can hopefully look forward to more advanced treatments and a better prognosis.
so if you can find it in your heart to give a donation it will be gratefully recieved.
Also my dad (Barry Firmin) and brother (Dave Firmin) are doing a skydive for the National Kidney Federation on July 1st 2011 in Whitchurch so if you would like to sponser them you can donate using JustGive
