Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In the UK and around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning, so they can become who they want to be. Your donation will help vulnerable children wherever the need is greatest.

Story

In April, I will be running the Virgin London Marathon for Save the Children.

Although I am extremely nervous and I am sure this will be the biggest physical challenge of my life, I am determined to give it 100% and raise vital funds for our emergency response in Yemen.

March will mark the third year of conflict in Yemen. Already the poorest country in the Middle East – it has deteriorated into a living nightmare where children starve to death daily, and are shelled and bombed in their homes and schools.

After working for Save the Children for over two years, I know that every penny raised from my page will go towards helping some of the most marginalised children in the world.

Since completing the half marathon in October with Saz, I have kept the training up - running to and from work. I am now upping my game running over 10 miles each weekend to help prepare me for the big day.

Any donation, message of support, petition signature or suggested song will mean a huge amount to me.

A huge, heartfelt thank you for your support xxxxx

p.s. wish me luck...it's 26.2 miles !!!!
