Cambridge Half Marathon 2023 · 5 March 2023 ·

KISS works in Uganda to support vulnerable children, their families and their communities. It does this by providing funding for education; medical treatment; families that care for orphaned children or are in difficult circumstances; support for young mothers and social outreach projects.

Story

Hi all – thanks so much for taking the time to read
this.

I am running my first half marathon (since 2009) – as well
as being a personal challenge I would love to be able to raise a bit of money
for the wonderful KiSS charity based in Uganda.

Only if you can (I know cost of living is having its impact),
I would be grateful for any donations you may be able to make. Otherwise, I
just appreciate you taking the time to read this and thank you for your
support.

What do KiSS do?

KiSS has been working to support communities in Uganda for
over 25 years and in that time, have transformed the lives of thousands of
children and families in accessing education.

Whilst this remains KiSS’s core work, their wider engagement
work with the families of KiSS and working to build a better community has also
enabled the development of two new Ugandan-led projects; The Agriculture
Project and the Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA’s). The KiSS
Uganda team and parents of KiSS are the driving force behind these two projects
and are excelling the charity on to becoming more self-sufficient.

(To learn a bit more about the amazing work of the charity
and to read stories of some of the families, go to
