Story
My Granny, Christine Murton died nearly two years ago from endometrial cancer aged 71. She always brought us “shooglie peg bags”, took us fruit picking, to Disney World where we swam with dolphins and travelled on magical carpets, she made us special picky dinners and curries and always took Elsie & I for a hot chocolate and sneaky piece of cake whenever she came to Gairloch! She was the best hugger, the best spoiler and the very best Granny in the whole wide world! FACT! I asked my mum if I could do this challenge because raising money for charities that helped Granny means a lot to me. My mum laughed at the idea of me being quiet for 24 hours, Graeme laughed, Elsie laughed, all my teachers laughed but they all thought it was a great idea!
As well as raising money for Marie Curie online through justgiving I would also like to donate any physical pennies people give me to Winston’s Wish which is a charity that helps children when someone very close to them has died. Winston’s Wish gave me a beautiful memory box and book to fill in to help me remember my Granny. It helps me smile when I miss her.
Thank you for your kind donations. Flora xx
