Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am swimming 12K to raise money to help one of the poorest countries on this planet. Sierra Leone Poverty Relief was a charity I founded 3 years ago. So far we have raised nearly £20,000! We are sponsoring nurse training, sponsoring very poor children to access education, paying for urgent medical care and much, much more. I am hoping that our group of 'Sierra Leone Swimmers' will also raise enough to put a roof on a little medical centre. This will only cost £600 and once the roof is on, the government will provide the medicines so that a whole village will have access to much needed medical assistance. 1 in 4 children die before their fifth birthday and 1 in 8 females die in child-birth. We are determined to do more to try and reverse these distressing statistics. Please, please help by donating and this will also help me swim faster! No donation can be too small or indeed too big!
We need your help to brighten up the lives of these children. Many are orphans of the war, some of their parents were amputated by rebel soldiers, but all share a common wish for a better future through education.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
