I will be running the London Marathon.  Running is something that I have enjoyed doing since I was a child as I use to go running with my dad and use to love watching him complete the number of marathons that he completed!  I was inspired by him and therefore I guess his passion for running has passed on to me! :)

This will be the 2nd London Marathon that I would have taken part in and was lucky enough to get this place via the ballot.  Therefore I thought I might as will run and raise money for a great charity at the same time too!  Follow Your Dreams is a national charity operating in England and Wales that inspires children and young people with learning disabilities to follow their dreams.

Their vision is for Children and Young People with learning disabilities to recognise their potential, be ambitious and be provided with the opportunities to follow their dreams.  The charity focuses on children's abilities, growing and developing skills through the delivery of creative and interactive events, dreams and workshops. 

Their AIM is to:

• INSPIRE children with learning disabilities to see beyond immediate challenges
• Encourage them to follow their DREAMS and believe in themselves and develop their Talents and skills
• EMPOWER them with the knowledge, beliefs and tools to ACHIEVE and understand that the possibilities are endless!

I believe this is a great charity as everyone should be able to achieve and be encouraged to follow their dreams no matter what obstacles are in their way! :)
