Story

Thank you for supporting me raise money for Walking With Giants Foundation.

I'm Gracie, Helen's alter ego. See dollyandgracie.com and do give us a follow on instagram!

Gracie was privileged to meet Tommy Brise, he's in the picture above. Tommy is a primordial dwarf, a tiny version of a dward. There are about 500 primordial dwarf in the world and only 8 with Tommy's particular strain. Being  so small people like Tommy need a lot of special equipment, his glasses for example. Primordial Dwarfs normally have a limited life expectancy so the Walking With Giant Foundations help support these amazing humans and their families.

David Brise, Tommy's Dad, mentioned on the fundraising day I met him that a couple of thousand pounds is a huge amount for a small charity  but just a drop in the ocean for larger ones. So if you are wondering which charity to support- I suggest this one!

A little bit about the charity

The Walking With Giants Foundation are a voluntary non-profit making registered charity set up to support and enrich the lives of individuals and families from the UK and around the world who are affected by an incredibly rare genetic disorder called Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism.

This is a condition in which the growth of a child is severely restricted by their genetic coding and causes extreme but proportional small stature. There are of course many medical complications behind such a condition so the individuals affected need as much help and support as possible in order to reach their full potential both physically and mentally.
The charity not only give the correct specialist medical advice and support to these individuals and their families but provide a welcoming and reassuring social network in order for families to communicate and share information. In addition to the above, we endeavour to eliminate all the stigma, mystery and any discrimination towards the disorder by promoting a positive attitude via their website, educational events and TV programs throughout the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.

The Walking with Giants is not Government Funded, we rely on public donations to help us achieve our aims and objectives.
