Hello you lovely people.

In the summer of 2012 I, along with other members of the Leeds Raise and Give (RAG) society, have taken on the extremely exciting challenge of hitchhiking all the way to Tisno in the beautiful country of Croatia, without spending a penny on trains, ferries, buses or taxis. This will rely solely on the generosity of others. We expect this to take around two weeks, but something is bound to go a little bit pear shaped so who knows!

It's all in the name of charity. Every single penny of the money you donate will provide essential funds to two charities. Firstly, the Meningitis Research Foundation which aims to both prevent and improve survival rates of meningitis and septicaemia. They also promote education and awareness to reduce death and disability, and give support to those affected. Fifteen percent of the money raised will be given to the Leeds RAG Community Fund, which provides small grants to local and national charities.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, will really make a difference to the lives of others.

I cannot wait to beg and borrow my way across Europe.
