Bupa Great North Run 2012 · 16 September 2012 ·

We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year Helen has took up the challenge of running the Great North Run before she turns 30 (the week after the event!) Helen had never ran before till January this year when I took her under my wing and has made fantastic progress.

In order to make the blood sweat and tears worthwhile we decided to run for charity. We have chosen Crohn's and Colitis UK as our sister Sarah has suffered from Crohn's disease since she was a teenager. Crohn's has made Sarah's life incredibly difficult at times with many hospital stays, a major operation and at times having to be fed through a tube. After watching her suffer so much yet still have a positive outlook on life and be a wonderful mam to little Joe, running 13.1 miles to raise money for a charity that supports people with Crohn's is a small task in comparison!

Please help us raise as much money as possible and make all this training worthwhile by giving what you can, however big or small :)
